How effective is critical path approach in fashion apparel pre-production merchandising?

Apparel supply chain is all about deadline management. This one line sums it up. Still how many suppliers in the apparel supply industry use the critical path approach to manage the deadlines ? How effective it could be in reducing the lead times ? How many apparel merchandisers apply critical path to manage deadlines effectively? How important is critical path approach in fashion in preventing the omnipresent crisis and fire fighting situations in apparel suppliers world ?

I had initiated this discussion a few years ago in http://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/. It gained some attention then. It is as relevant today. I have not only done extensive study of the critical path methodology, but also actually applied it in practical work situations as a merchandiser. I experienced substantial success and subsequently mastered the art of professional project management principles. I applied them to work and saw results. I became a die hard proponent of the approach. So much so that I now deliver training workshops on this topic. I designed a separate module called Critical Path Approach to Order Management. You can click this link to find out more of what I cover in this module and how.

I would like to know if this is something of interest to you. I am confident that as a merchandiser, it will return a lot of sanity to your work life. You will have a life outside of work as well. Contact me if you want to take this course. I offer this to individuals or group of individuals in an organization. I am even looking forward to doing an online session using Citrix Gotomeeting platform. I know it costs a lot to get a trainer to fly in, pay for their lodging and pay them their dues to deliver an in person session. I was approached by a lot of suppliers who were keen on my training workshop for their employees but could not afford the entire logistics. They asked me if I could do on line training. Well then I was not ready. But off late I have been hooked on to digital media and have learnt quite a few tricks of the trade.

I built my own website as an evidence of my digital knowledge and have acquired quite a few digital and social media skills in the last few months. Have had an experience of being on the other side of the table as well. I was the trainee for a change in several on line courses that I took to upgrade my skills. I know what the expectations are of a trainee from a trainer on an online platform. So at this point I feel quite confident that I am updated with the latest that digital technology has to offer and would like to offer my workshops to you via digital platform. I am ready for this. Yes.
